The latest visit from Ofsted was in April 2018 and school is delighted to report that .
"There is no change to the school’s current overall effectiveness grade of good as a result of this inspection."
The Inspector particularly commented on the big improvements made since the last inspection in respect of engagement with the community and the strong leadership. The Governors were commended for being such a strong team and the excellent support from the Westcountry Schools Trust was also recognised. The Inspector was particularly impressed with the response from Parent View commenting in the letter to Mrs. Rundle:
"Parents and carers recognise your enthusiasm and commitment and are keen to share their support for your work. This was apparent when I met with parents before school on the day of the inspection and within the comments on Ofsted’s online survey, Parent View. The following statement is typical of many: ‘Holbeton Primary School under the leadership of Mrs Jackie Rundle has become a place of real excellence and safe learning, where each child is valued, cherished and taught with great care and respect."
Although staff were all happy with the outcome of the short inspection, everyone is continuing to put 100% effort in continuing our journey towards excellence.
