Mothecombe Class (KS2)
Welcome to Mothecombe class’ home page!
Below you will find out what our enthusiastic KS2 class have been up to so far this year, as well as what exciting opportunities and events we have coming up.
In KS2 our learning is never tied to a particular environment. You’ll catch us taking advantage of our beautiful surroundings in forest school, writing instructional texts about our collages in the classroom, taking part in capture the flag at the field or learning how to code and design games in ICT.
IIn the spring term our topic will be World War ii! This will involve us looking in depth at their way of life as well as how this has impacted our life today. In science we will be studying changes in state while also carrying out experiments that encourage us to work scientifically. Our first piece of English writing will be a diary on WWII.
Homework – Homework will be handed out with a set of spellings on a Friday and due back in on a Wednesday.
Uniform - Please make sure that all school uniform and PE kit is clearly labelled as it helps the children to identify their own belongings. Please remind your child to bring a coat every day in the winter months and also please encourage your child to bring a named water bottle to school every day.
We are always looking for help in and around the classroom (PE, Art, reading, swimming) so please get in touch if you can lend a helping hand.
