Before and After School Club
Holbeton Before and After School Club is an independently run business with charitable status, managed by a small group of parents and friends of Holbeton Primary School. The Club run both breakfast and after school sessions to provide the wrap around care which proves so important to parents and guardians. Registration with the club costs £5 per family, which covers both the breakfast and after-school sessions. Forms for registering are available at the school office or from firstname.lastname@example.org
Before School Club
The breakfast sessions offer a safe, happy and healthy environment whilst supporting busy parents who wish to have an earlier start to their day. We are thrilled that Georgina Willis and Sam Price are our Before school Club Leaders. Georgina is a Meal Time Assistant at the school at lunchtime so there continuity with the rest of the day.
The Before School Club operates on the school premises. We are open between 7.45am and 8.45am daily and to all children from Nursery (3 years of age) to Year 6. Sessions are £4.00 per child and will be invoiced on a monthly basis. The club would be grateful if you would pay on receipt of invoice. Booking is not required, please just turn up.
Our Before School Club offers a nutritious breakfast in a relaxed and sociable setting. Breakfast will always include cereals and toast with a drink of milk or water. We also regularly have crumpets, pancakes, bagels, beans and boiled eggs. We pride ourselves on being one of the few local breakfast clubs to offer such a full and varied menu at breakfast time.
After eating, the children are offered a wide range of activities and have access to the school playground.
After School Club
This operates from Monday to Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30pm and is also based on the school premises offering an easy transition for pupils to stay beyond normal school hours. All children from Preschool (3 years of age) to Year 6 are welcome. Sessions are run by our two wonderful Play Leaders – Georgina Willis and Marion Venton.
On arrival at After School Club all children are offered a snack including toast, fruit and a drink of milk or water.
Once snack is finished the main emphasis returns to fun and play, with some organised activities. We also try to ensure there is some time during each session for the children to practise their reading and weekly spelling lists. The club has access to the outdoor playgrounds all year and often has visiting “guests” who run special activity sessions with the children – a popular example is cookery.
Sessions can be pre-booked at a charge of £8 per session, invoiced every half term. Prompt payment of these invoices are required to qualify for the reduced rate.
For ad-hoc or drop in sessions, the cost per session is £9 which is invoiced afterwards. Again prompt payment is encouraged.
Should you find yourself unexpectedly running late and unable to make it to school to collect your child at 3.30pm, we also offer an emergency facility, costing £4.50
